The books still look good displayed on a shelf though where people can actually see them. Can't show them off on your device. |

Agreed, but as I said, becoming a thing of the past. Files also hold up a lot longer than paper. |

Here's a funny fact: I purchased 'Legend of the Shadow Warriors' while getting 1969 Tull album 'Stand Up'. Funny how either one reminds me of the other - otherwise, they're totally unrelated (although, perhaps on some level, song styles might suit the gothic fantasy theme!).
Just wondering if other fans listened to particular band/album/music whilst reading a certain FF or Lone Wolf title? |

Nice idea. If I was to read City of Thieves again, it would be to one of the many "sounds of rain" soundtracks on Youtube. The soundtrack for the Legacy of Kain games "Blood Omen" and "Soul Reaver" is also perfect for FF games (also on Youtube). |

Baldur's Gate and Skyrim are good soundtracks. Highly recommend. |

Hi Garrett,
You're absolutely right. Happens at half-past the eleventh hour...but, by then, "sorry, too late". Gives me an idea for a character, though. |

One thing of note: The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim allows the player to gain XP and level up out of a choice of about twenty various skills, such as Archery, Destruction, Restoration, Smithing, Speechcraft, etc. I realized how players would tend to prefer warrior or wizard or a blend of both styles. This is a very similar choice found in Clash of the Princes or Legend of Zagor Although these gamebooks were of course basic when compared to the complexity of modern-day video games, they nonetheless provided that vital foundation that has progressed to the rich systems we enjoy today. |

Warhammer: Total War is set to be released in 2016 by Creative Assembly developers, thanks to an agreement between Sega publishers and Games Workshop. Magical abilities, flying dragons, and arcane weaponry will lend the TW franchise a new tactical system. |

I very much doubt it. That's why I think 'posterity' should be regarded as a life value: you never know what's round the corner. RIP and tombstones are all very well, but I believe in making your mark whilst living. Something Maximus stated in Gladiator: 'What we do in life, echoes in eternity'. |

Sorry, I was meant to say google it on Youtube. Harvey Smith was also interviewed upon release of 'Dishonored'. I think this game really nailed it as regards stealth, approach options, gameplay, etc. It's a few years old now, but certainly has that replayable factory. Many old games do. |

Watched it. So, don't make video games when you're going through a divorce. :p
Never play much video games myself (I get frustrated easily) so I can't pretend to understand the mechanics of what would make a really good one and what would be a really bad one. But if he says people weren't happy with it, ah well, mistakes happen. You need a good crew to be successful.
As for gamebooks, write for yourself, please yourself, even if you only have 4 fans. |

@ Tammy, It was really all to do with bad feedback, bad timing, and bad feeling within the development team. They also had to cater for console gamers and he lacked the experience in creating such a version. And with a divorce on top of it all. However, I would say that DX:IW wasn't such a bad effort all things considered! You're quite right in your final statement - there are three reasons behind my hobby writing gamebooks: enjoyment, relaxation, posterity. |

Read a review on my gamebook. I think I went too heavy on the curry powder this year. It's the spouts of EVIL!

One bit of good news I must share with you all, totally unrelated to FF or gamebooks: Colin Moulding, formerly of XTC, has resurfaced after years of a self-imposed exile from the world of music! You've probably never heard of him until now, but I'm a big fan of his unique style. |

@ Tammy, Hi Tammy, why have you decided to stop writing gamebooks? Are you busy with other things? Hope you don't mind my asking. |

I've decided to focus on novels and short stories again. |

Is there a forthcoming James Bond movie called: 'Tears of Acid Rain'? Or something like that? |
