New Day Rising progresses at its usual glacial pace. I suspect I shall have to set the random number generator for paragraph designation to 10000 instead of 1000. Whereas my usual reason for surviving is to continue to outlive Bob Howard, I suspect my reason for surviving shall become finishing this fornicator instead.

House of Pain took me 11 bloody years to write!

I learned a thing or 2 about planning after that.

This site had been around in like forever. Yes. I'm drunk. Again.

Drink eh. Much of Outsider was written with The William Burroughs Method as I called it. As for planning I don't think that's an issue, more that there were at least a dozen episodes already and now I want to add a post apocalyptic one because I don't feel I've ripped Mad Max Fury Road off enough yet.

Writing gamebooks fun when you're intoxicated. Editing afterwards when you're sober and come to your senses? Uh huh lol

My current inspiration for this era of my writing career (there are many gaps, including 10 years where I never wrote fiction at all) is Derek Robinson. He had much to say on the subject of writing under the influence of alcohol. Though personally I find everything I write is a heartbreaking work of staggering genius, drunk or sober.

Anyway. How is the magick going ms Tam, my fellow Chaoites would refer to drinking as 'chemognosis'

Magick these days on back burner. I'm more focused on work and personal shit. I'm enjoying my singlehood life as of now. Maybe I'll move to a foreign country. I dunno. Lol. I am working on Grekgun part 3. It's coming along nicely yet painstakingly.

I find being single absolutely awful and was thinking of doing a teaching English as a foreign language course and fleeing to some Spanish speaking country. Then again, hung parliament.

If only writing gamebooks wasn't so difficult. I'm starting Sundew.

Speaking of Mad Max inspirations, Joe Dever's Freeway Warrior quad-series springs to mind. Past few days I went barefoot through the town where I live. Not many people in UK are understanding, even fewer lack the courage to speak up in support when there's a group gathered round - what I call a 'bandwagon syndrome'. Nothing to do with beer whatsoever! Perhaps one day things will change. Very much doubt it will be in my lifetime. On the bright side, the manager of a charity shop did tell me that there was a local lady who came in barefoot. YAY, I'm not alone! I'm taking a break from writing Sean Calibre Book 2 in favour of reading novels during summer spare time and work breaks. I might put them in the Book Club section.

Being single can get unbearable sometimes, I know. Let's hook up! Lol

Sundew? What's that a gamebook? :O 😀 please do tell!

You know Robert, one of these days you're going to step on a needle used by some junkie. Just sayin.......

You're the only one in this tavern without shoes on, someone might mistake you for a hobbit

Gavin

I am often called hobbit at work due to having size 12 feet, though there I wear site boots with steel toecaps and steel midsoles, army style as was the fashion in the days of grunge. Meanwhile ms Tam I thought you'd never ask, let's go for a Lughnasadh handfasting.

In classes I have always been the only Chinese martial arts practitioner to wear ninja tabi boots. Sundew is a prose story basically a female human pseudo clone created using actual 2017 science.

As for Mad Max Murray of Turn to 400's regrettably final review was of Freeway Fighter, apparently now a comic. I wonder why the picked that one

Gavin

Not being sarcastic at all. As for Murray the middle class dream got him, only VGJunk endures as his spiritual successor. BLUE RUIN

Hobbit, yes, that's a very interesting point. Tolkien must have got the inspiration from somewhere.

Tolkein actually based hobbits on himself, liking simple food, pipe smoking and so forth: meanwhile the elves and Istari are clearly angels and archangels. You'd think having the Valar as the pagan gods would be a bit dodge for a Catholic, but apparently not.
