I got to reference 10.
KingJezza Thu Jan 23 15:05:32 2014
Interesting and well written. Worth elaborating on and developing
If you get through it successfully, you'll see that it is indeed developed into a complete story.
Sabbianera Tue Mar 4 09:00:11 2014
After my first attempt/read I can say it's a very interesting gb. Will play again for sure.
Gigs Thu Apr 3 16:39:34 2014
Is the 'Burning house' the best ending or is there a better one?
Yaztromo Thu Apr 3 19:42:09 2014
The "best ending" will be very obvious;)
Tammy Sat May 3 17:37:40 2014
He collects my head. Very fun story.

like it! very simple and fun, just like the books. Some illustrations would be good, but really nice

When I get to paragraph 65 it appears to be a dead end.
I think I've fixed this now.

My first playthrough,

Gabriel Barros Thu Dec 25 05:40:08 2014
Really nice story, took me several tries before finishing it.
I suspect you haven't finished it (as evidenced by the skull attached to your message). The ending that I think you've reached does seem a bit like a conclusion, but the true ending

In general, you know if you've reached the best ending of a gamebook by the fact that THE END is followed by CONGRATULATIONS.

Great story, I love the fact that

Super cool. Like the references to other gamebooks.

Very nice idea. I didn't get very far (first attempt) even though my staring skill was 12! However, I've played enough FF over the years to recognize the clues regarding the character's history and a certain DIRE situation that he may have found himself in during a previous adventure. It's also nice to expand on Port Blacksand and meet some characters from past visits. The nod to previous game books is very welcome and I'm sure much appreciated by FF veterans. I will certainly be coming back to the webpage to play this and the other games in the future while recommending it to other, like-minded, fellows.

A very interesting story. Finished a bit too quickly for my liking.

I would make a comment but I've just had my head cut off
finished? Sat Jan 7 11:04:37 2017
I think I might have completed the gamebook but I'm not sure.
Martin Mon Mar 27 18:08:31 2017
This was an odd adventure, but realistic in the sense this is a beggar's tale. I would've liked to know more about the dreams he were having, were they his memories, distorted by time, or were they glimpses of the assassin's life? Thanks for your efforts on making this tale!
Migo Thu May 11 04:33:43 2017
Short - and the plot was quite random. I won it on the first playthrough, so I guess it was easy too.
Migo Thu May 11 16:37:31 2017
Oh, well, now I got the true ending. It's a memorisation process, and since you have no chance of going back, it feels random and arbitrary. Quite a lot of these project books are for some reason, which adds an unfair challenge of "guess what the author is thinking". Not my favourite cup of tea.
bluejuice915 Sun May 14 13:46:12 2017
This was good. I believe I have the "right" ending, but I'm not congratulated. I don't normally like books like this will less structured traveling, but this one was very well constructed. I commend the variety of choices and the quality battles. Making it longer to further develop the backstory would be nice. Grade: 98

I dont like ont true path stories, this once required to start over multiple times until i found the right path by complete luck, and to be honest i an not sure of what i did right this time.

Mage Mon Oct 18 06:58:36 2021
Very fun, but feels kind of underdeveloped. Or maybe there's just a bit too many red herrings that look interesting but don't really have any significance on the gameplay for plot. Still great fun.
bluejuice915 Wed Mar 1 12:09:12 2023
Finally went back & beat this one properly. Have mixed feelings about the "one true path" concept but I think this somewhat works. Need more than a little good luck to make it through too. Still enjoyed it & wish for a sequel. Oh well. 90/100.
Chris Haws Wed Aug 2 08:07:43 2023
I really enjoyed this one, it had a lot of the flavour of the original books and didn't try to be funny or political like a lot of the others on this site. My only criticism is that it was too short!
MPerera Sun Sep 3 15:00:42 2023
Finally won this one!

YARD Thu Sep 7 16:02:55 2023
This was going pretty well until the story felt the need to use the same plot twist as Escape Neuburg Keep. It felt really cheap there, and is not much better here, undercutting most of the initial narrative stakes just the same. And with how underwhelming the writing of the real primary villain is, I actually preferred the other, "failed" ending to the intended one.
