Yes, I'll download it, then try to find entry I was on. Can't wait to continue playing it!
1st August is getting closer...Looking forward to sending my Windhamer submission. Very happy with it and hoping it does well.

I second that! I enjoyed Soul Tracker's modern day setting and its pretty unique plotline. The whole thing was a bit like Ghostbusters, but far more badass and exciting with shootouts and that epic motorbike chase. I liked the idea of picking the right weapon for the right occasion. and the length was pretty good too. Overall a good read.
C-Star Thu Aug 16 16:30:49 2012
To be honest, I only really play the online versions. I just find scrolling through the text documents looking for a certain paragraph kind of frustrating. Especially the ones with 1000 entries! I only download when I get stuck to try and find out what I'm meant to be doing.
I'm also pretty sure I haven't actually gotten the best ending in Soul Tracker. I got the ending where
SPOILER
Darkheart summons the massive SN and it gets sucked back in the portal. I survived with 1 health left :-D
END SPOILER
I'll play through it again at some point.
Glen Sat Aug 18 15:28:26 2012
@Gaetano, @C-Star: I think I've pretty well explored Soul Tracker now, but I still have doubts that I've reached the best ending.
SPOILER
I ended up in a similar spot to C-Star, but in the end I happily live ever after with Angela and defeat Darkheart. I'm not sure it makes much sense trying to save Darkheart, I would have liked a choice in that... and I would have chosen to let him float off to his doom, honestly. I lost so many times and he doomed the world enough that I figured he deserved at least one eternal soul damnation.
I managed to have enough drive (and luck!) to get the dream sequence at the beginning, and chose the park -> blow up lab -> football game -> get TWO rods -> .... route.
END SPOILER
Does that sound like the best ending?
C-Star Sat Aug 18 15:49:59 2012
SPOILER
I've seen the dream sequence once, but apart from giving some backstory, does it actually change anything?
END SPOILER
Gaetano Mon Aug 20 00:44:13 2012
@ Glen and C-Star
SPOILER
Yes, the ending where you live happily with Angela is the "true" path. You can ultimately get to it no matter where you choose to explore in the beginning- club, park or coffee shop.
END SPOILER
And
SPOILER
the dream sequence gives a little back-story, but is not necessary to complete the game.
END SPOILER

Hi Andy. Thanks a million, will really enjoy playing the new entry and well done Gaetano for what looks like a rivetting story so far, keep up the good work. As you know, I really enjoyed your previous effort Soul Tracker, I wonder if we'll be seeing any more of the motorbike riding hero or something similar along those lines, maybe even a mad max cloan or something.
C-Star Tue Dec 4 08:37:43 2012
There's already an official gamebook like that, think it's called Freeway Fighter, but I heard it wasn't that great...
Gaetano Tue Dec 4 20:13:48 2012
@ Ibrahim
I don't have immediate plans for a Soul Tracker sequel, but who knows what the future holds? Mark Ghostview and Angela Luna have been living happily together these last few years, but perhaps they'll need to dust off their weapons someday...
At the moment, I'm working on a "Spaghetti Western" themed gamebook, which should appear in a future issue of Fighting Fantazine
Ibrahim Wed Dec 5 23:20:42 2012
@Gaetano I love westerns, please could you send it to the site so Andy might adapt it for online play if time allows once its published? I only know of this site to have the online playability, I dont want to manually play these games as the temptation to cheat is overwhelming *smile*. I wasn't actually thinking of Mark and Angela, that story is great as it is, perhaps some kind of similar theme though, not elementals or supernaturals though, perhaps a revenge senario set in an apocoliptic future in which the protagonist's nearest and dearest is murdered and so a tip off leads him heading under cover to infultrate a motorcycle gang to seek out and elliminate those responsible.
C-Star Thu Dec 6 16:48:43 2012
Wow, you're really obsessed with that motorcycle part! I admit, it was awesome, but basing most of a gamebook on it? I'm not so sure. But action scenes such as that would be very welcome in future works!

Soul Tracker Paragraph Headings
As written, Soul Tracker did not have the standard system of paragraph numbering. Instead, each reference had a word that in some way corresponded to its contents, for example MOON: 3 or ZEPHYR: 1.
When I made the online adaptation, it wasn't feasible to accommodate this. Since then, the software has moved on and now - for maximum artistic effect - the original paragraph headings have been restored.
D-L-T Wed Oct 30 05:07:32 2013
Interestingly enough, I think the book really is better with the original pargraph numbering. I hadn't noticed that until you mentioned it, but I found the paragraph names do actually add something :)

Awesome haha, shame I died so quickly though...

cool game

You going to make a sequel? Kind of ends on a cliffhanger.
Ilyes Ishak Belhacene Fri Jan 2 01:49:15 2015
it would been nice if the sstory was longer
Lucas meyer Sun Jul 12 21:16:34 2015
it is a great game. Why don't you create a seaquil to this game? What would happen for instance if creatures from myths and legends and people's imaginations in our world, suddenly became real in the world where our three characters lives in? Creatures like the loch nes monster, dracula, and more. Has darkhearts toying with the void caused a tempurary opening of another portal? Did mark and angela marry, and did the same humanoid show up again. Could angela be a re-incarnation of mark's wife?
Gaetano Sat Jul 18 20:49:43 2015
@ Lucas Meyer- Glad you enjoyed and completed the story. Interesting ideas for a sequel, and an interesting idea regarding Angela- I had not thought of her as a reincarnation, but who knows?
Yaztromo Sun Jul 10 20:01:24 2016
I loved the structure of this game (that was implemented really nicely in this site, although at first I thought it was full of bugs....), but I enjoyed even more the atmosphere, the descriptions, the dialogues... and the setting in general.
Have you ever though about converting this game into a RPG setting? I think it would definitely work and strike the players as pretty innovative.
