WOW THAT WAS QUICK AND YES I WAS RIGHT YOU CAN'T COMPLETE THE GAME IF YOU GO TO THE SHOP.
SPOILER
SO OK FIRST GO TO THE POTS AND TAKE THE 5TH POT THEN AT THE DUSTY FIELD GO TO THE STATUE NOT THE WIND (I HOPE YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN) THEN AT A FORK WHERE YOUR OPTIONS ARE TAKE THE DRY PATH OR THE WET PATH TAKE, THE WET PATH YOU SINK BUT THE LADY IN THE 5TH POT SAVES YOU THEN USE THE POUCH YOU GOT AFTER BEATING THE STATUE ON THE WATER ELEMENTAL AND YOU GET THE FIRE SWORD
I'm beginning to understand how Hellfire is put togetehr now. Once you know the secrets, it's a very complex adventure. But I still maintain you need some more clues in the online text. I guess a lot of the objects and their uses are perfectly clear in the paper version.
So if I get it correctly, there should be a way to avoid/weaken the White Dragon...? What is it?
Ninja - to make "Spoiler" text put
SPOILER
before the text and
END SPOILER
afterwards.
??? - I think your dog has also pressed the Caps Lock key...
"So if I get it correctly, there should be a way to avoid/weaken the White Dragon...? What is it?"
SPOILER
There most certainly is. Do you remember the Password Keeper? Well, if you attack him then stand and fight the Pit Fiend, the Pit Fiend will dissapear and you will be rewarded for your bravery with the correct password.
Ok first you have to go to the first unmarked room hide under the bed, be lucky then open another unmarked door (with the key) look at the painting save the girl by killing the vampire remember the name of the old crone then go down the stairs twice then speak to the old crone, then speak to hunch back follow the passage and bobs your uncle
Curse Of The Yeti by Simon Osborne (author of Bodies In The Docks). In its original form it has been on the downloads page for some time. It's an early work and not representative of Simon's recent writing.
Bad Moon Rising by Davy Stedham. This was originally known as Resurrection Girl. It is very short indeed, but may grow if it is well received.
Just wanted to mention that I really enjoyed Bad Moon Rising. Extremely short, true, and I was able to beat it first try, but it was fun, and the Stamina was barely there by the end. Quick question though - the brass helmet I found... did it serve any purpose whatsoever?
As I understand it, Bad Moon Rising was originally meant to be just the first part of a much longer story. Maybe the helmet's purpose was to be revealed later on.
Can I have the rebels of the dark chasms original document please? Its very good but i'm realy confused about the end of it, is it the real end when you and aspra get cought by gaurds?

Man these games are grate! I'm blind which means I can't see, but these games are very accessible for blind people to play. I hope that more games will be put on the cite soon!
Thanks Phil for the way to read spoilers. I have been reading nearly all of them, but its a bit of a shame there are none about Rebels Of The Dark Chasms however i can give some hints about how to get as far as i've got:
SPOILER
1. go the longer rout to the citadel 2. grab the bottle 3. get lucky 4. trade for the magic axe
END SPOILER
I think thats what you should do to start with but as I say I havn,t finished it so who knows.
Eliot Ball (yes me again!) Sat Dec 11 16:01:02 2004 Bad Moon Rising
I've finished Bad Moon Rising. Rubbish title (Ressurection Girl isn't much better). It is cut very short! (I finished it one minuite) I was realy suprised that it finishes at refference 25! but in the word download it says 'Turn to 43' and there isnt even a 43! It's 70 references long so it should finish at 70!
1. Go longer route 2. get bottle 3. get lucky 4. take lava path 5. save blind creature 6. fight ALONG SIDE the blind creatures 7. keep lantern on 8. trade collar for axe 9. talk to chef 10. find password 11. find bow 12. give lady bottle & bow 13. rest, then take middle path
Aha! I have completed Rebels Of The Dark Chasms (although it was only the origonal document (I cannot talk to the chef in the interactive game)). It is very exiting (although less so at the end). I am now trying to win, Lair Of The Troglodytes wich seems vurtually, impossible (and I thought, Rebels Of The Dark Chasms was hard!).
When you fight ALONG SIDE the gaddon people at the end they talk about a man who works at the citadel and they give a name, then find the chef type his name in.
