Sounds good. When's your next trip?
Or maybe tell me how to get to somewhere close to where you live? I might be able to queue a trip on my next "exploring the map" turn. So far, I've only removed the fog-of-war over areas within 3km of the university, so without specific instructions on where to look, it will take me ages to make it to Walsall.

@Tammy
Indeed, this is my first chance in the 17 years I've known this site.

I travel to Birmingham maybe once a week on average, it's very easy to get to of an evening or etc

Great story! The only one, I could say I'm satissfied with its ending. I know there might be an ending where I survive, but I don't care, it seems at least complete now.

@Gavin
How far are you from the university? I'm currently working for UoB, and am renting an apartment within 500m of my office on campus.

@Robert
Sounds great! It would depend a lot on what the others think, though.

I ended up being scared to death by a field of zombi -- I feel that's the perfect way to go! Excellent modern tale :D

Outsider!
lol it's fine I took it as a compliment. I do think it is the case that YA didn't exist when I was a YA and that I would nominate that Dragonlance actually created the genre.

Haha sorry, "YA" as a genre feels still kinda weird as a label to me too, and I might've used it unfittingly. I guess I meant to use it as a shorthand for a "young people going on adventures and finding themselves, plus a bit of young romance" vibe, not surprising if it was written at 23 (quite a feat!).
I also see how the label can be used derogatorily, sorry if my comment was understood in that way.
I thoroughly meant what I wrote as a compliment, I very much enjoyed it.

@bcyy,
Same thing here when I played through COH, used the solution from the old FF website about twenty years ago. I'm sure there are still websites with the solutions, just wondered if it might be a good idea to have such a section on FF.Project.

You're not gonna believe this, but a Hungarian version of this complete with colour cover and B/W internal illustrations, has just been completed:

https://drive.google.com/file/d/16NLH7UEiMSTOJ0J4BdsEbMDc-yGtuXrA/view?usp=sharing

Just click the download arrow at the top-right of the screen when you click the link.

I don't suppose anyone here actually IS Hungarian?

YA novel? I was 23 when I wrote this and YA didn't even exist then, it was Dragonlance or nothing. I see your point though so thanks.

As for God the intention was that you pass the test by giving any answer (even though I had yet to discover the Alfred Bester quote, it doesn't matter what you believe in as long as you believe in something) and fail by not answering. So any answer is the right one.
