Garden Of Bones Alec Worley's gamebook is now ready for online play. Legend has it that whenever the full moon shines upon the Garden of Bones its gates creak open once more. Though the undead remain trapped inside, it is possible for the living to enter their shadow realm. Many an adventurer has entered the Garden in search of the fabled Scythe of Morbius Kane. None have returned - at least none alive. |

What does everyone think of Garden of Bones? I haven't had a chance to play yet. |

Haoie: Had a chance to play Garden of Bones yet? I thought it wasn't too bad. The beginning was so hollywood that I was a little concerned, but as I played I found it quite well-written with high plot integrity. I happened to luck on the correct route the very first time I played it, and enjoyed the ending. The only criticism I have is that it is so short it didn't really seem like the sort of challenge that could have defeated so many adventurers for so many years previously. A sub-criticism is that:

Hi there, Glad you guys are enjoying Garden of Bones what I wrote. All feedback (good, bad and indifferent) gratefully received. Am a newbie to this website, but a Fighting Fantasy freak since way back. Hoping for a Sunday to myself soon when I can plough through some more of these adventures. Cheers. |

Ah, sorry Phil. It was a Garden of Bones question. (I've completed it, so it was more of a matter of idle curiosity) |

Hi pi4t, Thanks for reading Garden of Bones. In answer to your question, I guess I'd have to be Mr Arty-Farty and say - which ending felt right for you...? Thanks again, dude. |

Took a couple of goes, but is extremely short if you get three or four decisions right, overall unimpressive. |

Am I missing something? I completed this adventure successfully in about 6 moves give or take 1 and only 3 tries. Is this like a demo or something? |

Considering the lack of any contrary comments I'm going to assume it was merely an "example". Shortest and easiest mission and easiest final opponent ever faced in any gamebook. Unless, anybody, is there an ending where you can acquire the schyth AND walk out alive and well?? If not, bit weak. |

This ending strikes me as a those "a day in the life of....." for someone who seeks new places for adventure. No gold, no prize, no regrets, onwards to the next experience! Just wondering, if I don't help the little girl, I wouldn't know the scythe was cursed. Considering I'm a "thrillseeker" of sorts, it felt a little out of character to abandon the weapon 4 down, many more to go! |
