I have enjoyed all your games. I would like more options during the game. I finished this game pretty easily compared to your others. I just had to find the right combination |

enjoyed it, but it seemed like the ravage was impossible to kill... |

Not bad at all! Got through it first go, and my chosen field of strength didn't appear to be relevant (I chose stealth incidentally), but I enjoyed it! |
All chosen fields are relevant, although it might not always be obvious from the text alone. Each potentially offers a different way of weakening the Ravager, which hopefully tips the balance between a likely victory and a likely defeat. |

I liked it, but I guess my tactics weren't good enough. :D |

This was very engaging! The first one I had done online. Very well worth it, and I am encouraged to try this again and attempt some more of the stories. Great site and a good interface! It flowed in a very logical and non-distracting way so that the story was able to be entered into and enjoyed in an immersive way...for an experience that I was hoping for. Thank you! |
Thanks very much. |

Only managed to get Ravager down to SKILL 11, STAMINA 60 on first attempt, hoping to do better in second. Also, I've got an intense feeling of deja vu reading this gamebook. |

Third try, got its STAMINA down to 3... |

Brilliant story, unexpected ending! Got it on my fifth try, 6 STAMINA left. Never expected stealth to be so useful in that situation. Is there a way to make it to the end without having to duel Ravager 1 on 1 in the end? Also, will there be a sequel? |

@bcyy: In the battle against the Ravager, your companions will always be killed until you are the only one left. That's by design, so it isn't possible to save any of your companions. I know the ending makes it sound like it's setting up for a sequel, but I never intended one. I just needed to finish the story with something dramatic. With regards to the special skills, there are indeed uses for each that you haven't discovered; but this doesn't mean that they are all equal. I wasn't really concerned with balancing the effect of each, but rather with making sure each could either benefit you in some way or damage the Ravager. So the choice of some special skills could definately be better than others. |

@Ulysses Thanks for the reply! Pity there's no sequel... |

I enjoyed this adventure a lot, took me several tries to get through it and work out tactics. The ending was both fitting and amusing. :) |

So I made my skill role and I died anyway. Is this adventure suppose to be a lesson in futility? |

I liked this game book very much. I've played it several times. Still, death seems to wait for me at the end like it knew I'd be there to meet it Best I've done was to get the final fight with the beast down to 43 stamina. But of course by then, my skill was 9 and stamina 10. It'd be nice if my energy total played a part in the final fight somehow. Maybe using up the last of my energy enabling me to fight on for two or more desperet rounds. Great job! And thanks! :) |

Great game. The battle was just tough enough to warrant repeat plays to win. The conclusion was slightly confusing at first, but proved to be a quality ending. Great job with game play and the choice of character at the beginning. I'm still not sure, because of how I played, what use the last two were, but still good. Grade: 97 |

Masterful. Simply masterful. Very strong descriptive writing, a convincing low-magic world, and simply excellent characterization of everybody. Even the single-scene POV character who appears for just the final ref is better written than the pivotal characters of too many other works. It works well at what it sets out to do also, as even though there's a lot of text and relatively little room for choice in the opening stretches, it feels far more natural here than in, say, Above the Waves or Any Port in a Storm, which felt outright stifling. And of course, there's the battle which is perhaps not as extensively written as the author would have liked, but still has a fair room for variation (it felt amazing when, trying out a few things after already winning twice before, I actually managed to win without seeing the combat interface.) There's perhaps only a little weirdness which may not be intentional.
